1. The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January
就任の際、宣誓するはこの言葉。
『 I,Barack Hussein Obama, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.』これに 『So help me God.』 が最後に加わるというわけです。
正式な就任式は東海岸時間の11：30からですが、祝典は10：00から始まるそうです。10時ということは西海岸時間の7時。。。早っ！
お祝いムードは今や最高潮です。

4日間にわたる各種公式関連イベントのトップを飾る幕開けとなったのが今日18日（日曜日）Lincoln Memorial リンカーン記念堂の前で行われた大規模なフリー・コンサート『We are one:The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial』。
HBOが無料で全米に中継したので楽しめました。
Bruce Springsteenブルース・スプリングスティーン、Beyonseビヨンセ、U2（ボノ）、Von Jovi ボンジョビ、Tom Hunksトムハンクス、Denzel Washingtonデンゼル・ワシントン 等 錚々たるメンバーが盛り上げました。
そして明日月曜日Martin Luther King Dayをボランティアに費やしコミュニティーに貢献してくれ・・・という小浜さんからの呼びかけ”Call to service"に応じる団体・個人がメディアやメール等を通じて動き出しています。

Beginning at the South Entrance of Palmer College of Chiropractic West, we will embark on a walk with trash and recycle bags and clean up any litter we find. Everyone welcome! Bring gloves and bags! Clean-up area ideas welcome!
